Protected area

The Sile River Regional Nature Park extends over a 4,152 wide surface and is situated within 11 municipal territories in the provinces of Padua, Treviso and Venice. The area of the springs lies between Casacorba di Vedelago (Treviso) and Torreselle di Piombino Dese (Padua) and it originates Europe's longest effluent river: 95 km from the sources to the mouth, 70 km out of which are comprised between Casacorba di Vedelago (Treviso) and Portegrandi di Quarto d'Altino (Venice), the natural mouth in the Venetian Lagoon, before the "Taglio del Sile" excavation.
