During the first months of 2014 the municipalities near the Sile river course have carried out some meetings to debate about how to make the territorial promotion more effective, also in view of Milano Expo 2015. They started an intense entertainment and participation activity, taking part since the beginning in the Masterplan VenicetoExpo.
On the 5th of June 2014 a presentation conference took place in Treviso with the participation, among others, of the European Council, the UNESCO and of the Region Venetia, just to foster and improve the debate process with all the territory's actors. Later, 5 territorial animation meetings were organized, and 4 thematic tables were established and divided into 15 sessions through which more than 200 operators from the public, private and civil society sectors could debate and express their opinions on four themes: Environment, Culture, Wine and Food and Sport.
On the 20th November of the same year all the commitment made resulted in the official recognition, and the Agreement between the Authorities were signed to establish and regulate the carrying out of this project.
After the listening phase through the thematic tables, a work group between the travel agencies has been activated for the creation of targeted tourist products in order to propose real visit and stay offers.
The project's logo has been chosen through a national contest of ideas which registered a significant participation of the entire nation.
